Slow Week

Wapendwa Familia na marafiki, (Swahili)

This week was one of the toughest weeks for Missionary work. Let’s head to “Missionary Weekly” and I can show you... or I guess, tell you... ok, I guess write about...zzzZZZZzzz... Sorry, “Missionary Weekly” has been shut down due to some technical difficulties'.... Wait, what? NOOOOO How am I supposed to share what happened this week without the flare and humor...'Just kidding’...Phew.........
Welcome to Missionary weekly where we journey around the mission areas and see how the Missionaries are doing in helping others come unto Christ.... Today, we see how the Nevada City Elders are doing to get the area back on its feet again and strengthening the ward. We will hear all this and maybe more on “Missionary Weekly”.
Missionary Weekly
04/24/12 - Today we were thinking about ways to help build the ward, so we can find more people to teach through referrals, instead of tracting.  Today we had our ward mission coordination meeting. We decided to ask for the five names that we had requested from the leaders.  Sadly, they only had three total and two of those were people we're already working with. I'm not sure how to get the ward more excited about missionary work?

04/25/12 - With the little success we've had so far. We decide to make a better list of our members and organize them by area. Sadly, that took most of the day, today.

04/26/12 - Interviews.... today!!!!! Oh great... the interview went fine. Just like before I was picked first. Seems like that happens every time. loll  I guess I'm his favorite or something.... We also did our weekly planning.  We planned... for four people... yeah not as many as we did when I was in Chico, but we will get the area up... and running.

04/27/12 - oh wait.... my bad interviews were this day instead of yesterday. lol  Basically the same thing happened.  We worked on the list. Yeah... it was good fun.

04/28/12 - Can I just stop here? We had a repeat day this day.

That's it for “Missionary Weekly”. Join us next week for the end of transfers.  Come see who will stay and who will leave?

Yeah, not much has happened this week, but we will end this transfer better than we have ever before!!!!! HOORAH!!!

Okay, time for the fun Game of Q&A Corner.  Hooray!!!!!

Q1. What was the best thing that happened this week? Any spiritual moments that touched you? What was something new that you learned during your study time?

A1. The best thing would be... hmmmm.... having a good time with Sean and his family.  The worst would be having the majority of our lessons cancel on us. One spiritual moment that I had this week would have been on Sunday.  I just felt so light that day and felt good. Another spiritual moment would be when we are with Russ.  I always feel the spirit when I visit him. No other major events that I can think of. I have been using the Book of Mormon student study guide and doing the question at the end. I discovered that I'm a “Murmurer”, at times. lol  I'm working on that.

Q2. How is Brother Hansen (Grandpa) that was baptized recently? Is he still coming to Church and participating in the ward? How is Sean doing? Did the other Elders contact his relative to discuss the gospel?

A2. You mean Brother Baker? He's doing well. He's been coming to church, but always leaves after sacrament. Sometimes he stays for all three hours, though. As for Sean he is doing awesome. He received the Priesthood yesterday. Yeah!!!! As for his Grandfather, he has not been contacted yet. We called the Elders and they didn't answer. Not much has happened there.

Q3. How is the budgeting going? How about the cooking? Have you had any especially great dinner appointments?

A3. I'm doing better I haven't been using my allotment card these past few weeks.  I also have been cooking more often.  Mostly rice and chicken patties.  No mom, not your rice sadly.  We have no baking dishes. We do steamed rice, which is not too bad, if I do say so myself. We've been booked full this past week with dinners so things are looking better.

Q4. How is the weather there? We had several days of really hot weather (summer) in the 80s. Then we went back to spring weather rainy and cooler like in the 60s and 70s. I kind of like the 70s weather. I am eager to get my garden in and flowers planted.

A4. It seem that we have the same weather as you guys, nice warm weather no rain yet.

Q5. Have you done any service days or projects? Do the missionaries help elderly members with yard work? That might even lead to making new contacts, just an idea.

A5. We have one today. We are helping someone move. Also, later this week with the Russ family we're going to help with the sprinklers. Let’s hope I have Dad's skills with me, right? lol

Q6. Any new driving adventures? How are the P90X sessions going? Are they getting easier? I really am going to start walking 1 mile a day and get in some other extra exercise where I can. Wish me luck.

A6. Driving? What's that? I haven't yet. P90X hurts like crazy, but it is getting a little easier.  Have Martin try it.  Holy cow it burns like none other. Good luck.

Hummm, this is not as big as my other E-mails, but it will do.  This week will get better. I have a feeling that things will change soon. Hopefully changes for the better.  How about all of you? How are ya doing? And this question goes out to everyone that is reading this. Well you know the tune.

Safety and peace, God bless and if you sneeze during this email bless your face. Auf Wiedersehen! Requesta de pache (rest in peace), Molto Bene, Alsons y, bonum devium, Arrivederci!, kwaheri, sudie Tot ziens, smell ya later, Noice, Nofo a, Until next time this is Elder Morris in Nevada City singing out, Peace on!!!!

Sneezes, Baptisms and P90X?

Dia duit Teaghlaigh agus a chairde, (Irish)

This week was long indeed, and full of tough stress, but with a lot of fun too. That's the truth. I was so busy that the days went by quickly, so it was both a slow and fast week this time. Sorry if this e-mail sounds weird. It’s that time of year again, where noses run and you can't breathe at all. Anyway, let’s head to “Missionary Weekly”.  This week in the mission field... because I'm too sick to talk...(jk)...zzzZZZzz... Welcome to “Missionary Weekly”, where we go out and visit the missions around the world. Today we see the impossible happen in the California Roseville mission.  A baptism was completed in just a week.  We will talk to the missionaries who were able to accomplish it, this and more on “Missionary Weekly”.

Missionary Weekly
04/17/12 - So we get a call from Sean that he wants to move the date for his baptism up to the 21st of April.  I was nervous at first, but we started to talk a little bit about the baptism and the interview. They even invited us to stay for dinner, so it was a pretty good day.
04/18/12 - Ok so this whole week was just basically focusing on Sean and getting him ready for baptism. As for this day, we had exchanges. I went to work in the Grass Valley area. I was with Elder Knight and we had a good time. We got one of their investigators to commit to baptism. He didn’t set a date yet, but he wants to be baptized. So there was success for the Grass Valley Elders. While I was gone, Elder Buhler and Elder Gillen shared the Plan Of Salvation with Sean and that went really well, from what I heard. That was so awesome.
04/19/12 - This day we taught the Gospel of Jesus Christ and a little more about baptism to Sean. We also worked on the program.
04/20/12 - We finished teaching the commandments to Sean. So yeah, today was all about Sean. His interview was today. WHOO HOO!!! It went fine.
04/21/12 - Baptism day was today.  Today was one of the most important days for Sean and his family. Later that day they invited us to a BBQ at his Wife's family's house and it was awesome. We met his Grandfather, who at the moment is not a member of the Church. He had a couple of questions and we believe he might want to investigate the church. Sadly though, he doesn't live in our ward boundaries, so we have to give him to the Elders in that area.
04/22/12 - This Sunday was a tough one for me. I was sneezing non-stop. I took some medication that helped a little. I still felt a little drowsy though, but I pulled through thank goodness. Sean got confirmed on Sunday, too. It was an awesome day, yeah!!!

And that's today for Missionary weekly... Have a great day.

Now it's time for Q&A Corner... Hooray!!!!

Q1.  What was the best thing about this week?  What did you learn that was memorable?  Are there any funny things about this week?

A1. The Baptism was the best thing this week and the time we spent with Sean and his family. I learned that the impossible is possible and can be accomplished. Funny, well, I tried P90X, which is a hardcore workout, ouch. I'm still in pain from it. lol

Q2.   Who are you teaching?  Have you learned anything new from the lessons you teach?  Tell us about the people you are teaching and serving.

A2. We aren’t teaching any new investigators at the moment. All we have now is Christina, Russ and one other guy.

Q3.   Is there anyone in your ward whom you admire and enjoy talking to each Sunday?  Tell us a little about the people in your ward.

A3. Let’s see Russ, Sean and his family and Sister Carey and her kids. I really can't think of anyone particular. The Ward is great, but sometimes I feel like we're ignored, but its Okay.

Q4.   Dad wants to know if you have tried your favorite move while playing basketball?  Does anyone fall for it?  Martin tried it in a Church game but nobody fell for it.

A4. Yeah, I have used the move. It works every now and then.

Q5.   What have you been doing lately for fun and relaxation?  What have you been studying?  We are still in 1 Nephi.  We need to read more chapters each night.  I really need to do some personal study as well

A5. Mostly I draw and take naps.  I've been trying to read, “Jesus the Christ”. Talk about big reading! Lol.

Q6.   Looks like the next transfers will be right before Mother's Day.  Do you feel like you will get transferred?  Do you think you might be able to Skype on Mother's Day?  That would be so fun.

A6. Not to sure if I we will be Skyping or just calling.  Most likely, if all goes well we will be able to Skype.  I'm not sure if I will get transferred or not it's up in the air.

Okay that it for this email, you know the tune. OH wait, tell the ward that I'm doing well and that I'm glad to be out here helping the Lord change peoples lives for the better. I enjoy this work and enjoy the people, sometimes. NOW, it’s time for the theme song...
Safety and peace, God bless and if you sneeze during this email bless your face. Auf Wiedersehen! Until next time this is Elder Morris in Nevada City, singing out, “Peace on!!!!”

Baptism this Week!

Sveiki Ĺ eima ir Draugai, (Lithuanian),
What an Ubber long week. It feels like it’s been four weeks since I emailed. Today it feels like everything is moving 120 mph, and it's really getting to me, but enough of my stupid drama. Let's move on to some fun stuff, yes? Oh and I did get the Easter package you sent me Mom. I love the tie.  It’s one of my favorites and the pin is nice too. Elder Buhler really liked the Chocolates you sent him too. I was just going to take them for myself. ( ha ha ha) Just kidding. Things have just been very odd but interesting this week. Wait, why am I telling you this.  How about we check out “Missionary weekly”.........(Click)... Hey, welcome Mission Chief where we...(Click).... Welcome back to around the world in 2 years or less... (click).... Hello and welcome to “Missionary Weekly”, where we check out what the Missionaries are doing in the field. Today we go back to Nevada City and see how the Missionaries there are helping others to come unto Christ. We see what's cooking in their kitchen, as well as seeing how GPS' can lead you a stray as easily as pushing a button. All this and more will be on “Missionary Weekly”.
Missionary Weekly

04/10/12 - A missionary’s purpose is to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and his atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end.  These missionaries sure did that, as they were teaching Shaun, one of their investigators. Elder Buhler felt impressed to commit Shaun to baptism. All the while, his Companion was trying to stay as focused as he could without sneezing his brains out. They committed them to May 12 since that doesn’t seem that far away, that was until they checked their calendar. It was in fact 5 weeks away.  They discussed whether or not they should move it up. (Oh and just an F.Y.I. I'm doing better now)

04/11/12 - District Meeting was today.  All missionaries in the Auburn North District came together and had a review of the Apostasy and the Restoration. They also learned how to teach it.

04/12/12 - ARP meeting was today.  The Elder's of Nevada City went and visited their good friend Russ and had one of the most spiritual experiences this transfer.  They shared Mormon messages with him, "Choose ye this Day" and "Come what may and love it". "It was silent and he just started to bare his testimony.  I was over powered, but not to tears. “I felt the spirit" said Elder Morris, "It was amazing." Sadly though, he didn't want to come to ARP because he decided to do some more soul searching.

04/13/12 - Friday was one of the up and down days of missionary work. One of the appointments we had with another investigator fell through.  Later that night we had a great dinner with Shaun and his Family and had an awesome lesson.  Ok, it was more like watching church DVDs, but other than that it was great. We had a good time.  It went on till 9 when, Elder Morris said, “We have to go or we will be here all night”.

04/14/12 - You know how GPS' are supposed to help you find your way? Well it looks like for these missionaries that's quite the opposite.  We were trying to find a referral, but somehow our GPS led us to the outskirts of Pike City. We were 30 miles from where we live. We found out once we got to where the GPS told us to go, that we passed our destination about 10 or 12 miles back. A nice person, the only person around for miles, pointed them in the right direction.  By the time they got to the right home, the person the Loma Rica Elders wanted them to visit, discovered that they don’t live there.  It was a sad and frustrating day.

04/15/12 - Somewhat still disappointed about the referral, the two companions go to church, partake of the Sacrament and enjoy the rest of the services. The member, who was supposed to feed them that night canceled, said she'd find someone to replace her.  She did and we had Lasagna. The members who were feeding us invited us to go on a hike with them.  We said,  “Sure why not?"  We did go and we really enjoyed it.

That’s it for this week in “Missionary Weekly”...

Yeah, what a week... and it gets even better. Today we have a lesson with Shaun and his wife (Member) and they want to move the date to the 21st of April.  Yes, it’s this week!  We're going to be busy this week.  “HOLY CRAP!!!!”

Ok, ok, lets see what else is on...(click)... Q & A Corner!!!!! Welcome Back folks your just in time for the Bonus round!!!! Yeh!!!!

Q1. Have you had any new driving experiences? Any crazy and wild things happen to you this past week?

A1. Nope, as for crazy things.... we almost hit a squirrel or two maybe... nope nothing to big!!!

Q2. How many lessons did you teach this week? Any new investigators or fewer actives that you are teaching? Tell me more about Russ? Tell us about the Blendez Family too?

A2. Like 4 or 5 this week.  It’s hard when you don't have a lot of investigators or less-actives that want to hear you.  Just Shaun wants to listen to lessons currently. Russ, good ole Russ, he's a Sharpener.  He sharpens blades and such. He likes hunting. He has a German Shepard named Angel, who barks at us a lot. He really wants to come back to Church, but is afraid of messing up again.  He comes to church every Sunday looking a bit rough around the edges, but is really a nice guy when you actually get to know him. The Belendez family, are an exciting bunch. The whole family is members. They have all boys and the youngest is the craziest out of all of them. Lol He likes to run around, play games and all that jazz. I swear that kid has more energy than a power plant, but they're always fun to hang around.  The mother works on Sunday, so she can't make it to church. The rest of the family comes. The oldest is 14, then 12, then 10, and then 6 years old.  The family reminds me so much of our own. Lol Always brings me back to the good old days.

Q3. How is the weather there? Are you getting sunshine and flowers? We have had lots of rain and clouds. It is also still kind of chilly. That always makes Crissy, happy. She will have to give into the Sun sooner or later. LOL

A3. It’s as sunny as ever. It is very green and flowery. As we drive to church we drive by a field of Buttercups.

Q4. What was the best thing that happened this week? What was the worst thing that happened? What is your new goal for this week? What do you want to accomplish?

A4. The best thing was getting someone to commit to baptism and the worst would have to be having to drive down to Roseville to get our tires changed. What a pain in the butt that was.  My goal this week is to get out and do work.  I want to accomplish: “Finding” more people to teach.

Q5. What is something new you learned about Elder Buhler? What did you do for him this week? Did you tell him "Thank You" for something this past week?

A5. He believes you should continue to study even when you have nothing to do.  I cleaned the kitchen, for Elder Buhler and myself.  Yes, I thanked him ... for driving.

Q6. What scripture did you read during your studies that impressed you or had an impact in your day? Do you and your roommates have FHE on Mondays? Tell us about your roommates? Send Pictures of roommates, companion and apartment. You know a picture is worth a thousand words; I need to see you to know you are well. LOL

A6. I wish I had them with me, but Elder Buhler showed me this one in 2 Nephi 12:2.  Go to the word mountain in that verse and start at the letter U and go down 4 letters. What does it spell?  We don’t really have a FHE, not really.  My roommates are the same as always, like I said in the past emails. There is Elder Knight, Elder Gillen, Elder Buhler and I in our apartment.  Elder Knight, from Salt Lake City, Ute fan, Leslie's Cousin, smart kid, likes to bash for fun or just argue. Lol Elder Gillen, district leader, a stud, farm boy from Colorado, big kid, typical farm boy, the 20th of April is his Birthday, he goes home July 31st, and is very confident. Elder Buhler funny kid, 21, been out 6 1/2 months, gamer, good missionary, funniest son of a gun you'll ever meet.

That's it for this round of Q&A Corner join us next time for...

Ok I guess that's it for this ubber long email.  What an interesting email.  For more info or other questions please write or email me.  Well, you know the tune!!!!

Safety and peace, God bless and if you sneeze during this email bless your face, Auf Wiedersehen! Requesta de pache (rest in peace), Molto Bene, Alsons y, bonum devium, Arrivederci!, sudie Tot ziens, smell ya later, Noice, Nofo a, Until next time this is Elder Morris in Nevada City singing out, Peace on!!!!

Happy Easter

Lorem Genus et Amicitia, (Latin)                                  4/9/12

Happy Egg Hunting day!!!! Everyone, this was one really odd week, man I always say that. It’s never a good week or a bad week and yet, thing always change.  Sometimes we stick to plans but it's always an ODD week.  I don't know why I always start off my emails like that? Oh well, maybe next week will be better, eh? Well let’s change that channel to something better than " My Missionary Drama"...Click... "Welcome to Driving with Missionaries, where we see the most crazy drivers on the plan-"...Click.... " Now when you take the chicken and you--". Click... " Welcome to Missionary Weekly California Roseville edition, where we see how the missionaries in the field are doing in building the Kingdom of God here on earth. Today, we see how the Nevada City Elders and the Grass Valley Elders enjoyed their Easter together, away from their families. We also see how a contract can motivate one to workout and lose weight. We'll hear all this and more on "Missionary Weekly".

Missionary Weekly
04/03/12 - Errand Day!!! Though it was a Tuesday, it seems the missionaries in Nevada City ward went shopping for groceries, did laundry, and such.  They also seemed to be able to fit in a little bit of contacting in the busy schedule, somehow.  No success, though. As they were getting ready for lunch with Grass Valley missionaries they (Elder Buhler and Elder Gillen) decided to make a contract to help them lose weight.  Somehow they got me involved in it…  “Oh dear”....  I was so sore that night and the rest of the week.

04/04/12 - District meeting was this day. The Elders in the Auburn North Zone got together and discussed the importance of study.... ZZZZzzzZZZ ... Oh yeah, wait what? Oh sorry, I was just dozing. Anyway, the rest of their day was the same as the last day.

04/05/12 - This day was better than some. We had a couple of actual appointments. WHOO HOO!!! It was nothing too exciting, just visiting the Belendez family and good old, Russ.

04/06/12 – Today was just like the last day, busy as ever with lessons and such. Still not much success with “finding” on our own, sadly.

04/07/12 - Weekly Planning moved to this day, because of the busy Schedule yesterday.

04/08/12 – “Happy Egg Hunting Day People” – Oh, wait I already said that. Oh well, it was a good Easter Sunday. We had a delicious dinner with the DeMartines family. Nice succulent ham, but I do miss the traditional Sunday spaghetti dinner. (mmmmm)   After Church, I had time to watch the movie that you made Dad, “He's my Son”. And there it was, I started to cry my eyes out.... again.  I really started to take the message of the Resurrection to heart.  The song and the pictures in the movie really bring the message of Easter to light.

That's it for Missionary Weekly. Be sure to join us next time, to see how the missionaries are doing.

“Next channel please, but the remotes all the way over there! Then stand up and walk over there.  Fine, gee-whiz ... Click....

Welcome back to Q&A Corner, the Game show that makes no sense... and everyone wins.

Q1. How many lessons have you taught this past week? Any special experiences happen with your investigators or less active members? What did you learn from those you teach?

A1. We taught four lessons all together.  Nothing really special happened.  We are now being hit with referrals, so the work is now moving onward and upward.  HUZZAH!!!

Q2. Any new driving experiences? Are you learning to enjoy driving? Does Elder Buhler let you drive or do you make him nervous? Remember Practice makes perfect, well better anyway.

A2. Nope we just gave up on me driving the truck, so I just let Elder Buhler drive.  Yeah. whoo hoo!!!

Q3. What have you found in your studies that inspired or motivated you this week? In conference this weekend we were told to study our scriptures individually and as a family. We are setting a goal to read as a family each day. Any advice you can share about how to keep that goal? Time of day is a big decision for us.

A3. I'm starting over in the Book of Mormon and using the Student Study Guide I got from lds.org. I've been doing the activities in the PMG, to help me find ways to study, yeah...study.

Q4. What do you do on P-day, now? Do you still do the Frisbee golf? Would you like a Frisbee for your Birthday? Do you have time to get all your domestic chores done? (Laundry, dishes, bathroom, and shopping etc.) It appears you still eat out often. Do you get invited to member’s homes for dinner very often? Are you cooking more? How can I help with that (cooking) and staying within a budget?

A4. Whatever I feel like Gosh!!!! We still play Frisbee a little bit, not a lot now a-days. You can send one if you want? I already have four different ones. The discs we use are different from Frisbees, but sure... I guess. I'd just like some music. That's one thing I miss, is my music. I'm trying to stop eating out, but it’s hard to get off that habit. I'm doing better though.  I made pigs in a blanket the other day.  Yeah we usually get everything done that we need to on P-day.

Q5. Dad wants to know if you were invited to anyone's Easter Celebrations on Sunday? Did anyone bring all of you Easter Baskets or anything special? Did you have an opportunity to share the Easter Message with a new investigator or new contact?

A5. Yeah, we did have dinner at a member’s home.   No baskets though, but everything else was good.  Please see 04/08/12 for more info.

Q6. Are you writing your testimony in your journal often? It will change often as you learn, grow and teach the gospel. Write it down and then go back often to read it and see how much you grow and change.

A6. I'm trying. I'm not perfect, but I do my best.  I do love looking through it every now and then, seeing the changes I've gone through.

That's it for this week hope your having fun on this journey with me.  Wait, oh never mind, that's it..........darn! That's the end. Well I really guess that's it for this e-mail. Until next time, you know the song....
Safety and peace, God bless and if you sneeze during this email bless your face.  Auf Wiedershen! New Companion - Elder Buhler

Bonjour La Famille et Les Amis,
What a long week this has been and busy too, oddly enough. Let’s say that I haven't work as much this past week as I did when I was with Elder Arnett, but it was tough at the same time too. Great news, CONFERENCE WEEKEND WAS AWESOME!!!!!! Not many talks about missionary work, but you know there were a few. Oddly though, the most common subject they talked about was families and love in the home. It kind of made me think that soon I will be a parent myself. I took a good 10 pages of notes on conference. Basically some quotes that really stuck out to me. It’s a good thing too, because I forget so easily.  Both in life and other things, I mean, I misplace the phone every now and then. Ha, ha, I'm getting better, so don't you worry mom!!!
.... (T.V. White Noise)....  Welcome to Missionary weekly where we check up on God's army in the field and see how they progressing with the Lord's work. Today, we head to Nevada City to see how the new team is doing together. Then we will see how the work is progressing in that area of California. Next we will head to El Salvador to check on Hna Holladay and see how life is there while working as a servant of the Lord.  All this and more, today in Missionary Weekly.

03/26/12- Transfers are one of a missionaries greatest joys and greatest sorrows. To get more experience, missionaries move to one area then to another. This is also known as transfers. Missionaries in the California Roseville Mission recently had these transfers happen. The Nevada city Missionaries were part of the transfers that happened. Elder Brooks and Elder Morris spend their last P-day together as a companionship. This is to be their last day together so they are making it count by going out and visiting members.

03/27/12- A new missionary comes to town from Gridley, CA. Elder Nathan Buhler from Highland, Utah joins Elder Morris in his adventures in Nevada City. Elder Buhler will be Junior Companion, that's right Elder Morris is now Senior Comp. Okay enough of the News announcements. (Voice or typing lingo) Any way, Elder Brooks and I went to Yuba, to pick up Elder Buhler and drop Elder Brooks off there, for his ride to Paradise. Apparently, I had to drive back to Grass Valley. (Yeah my point exactly) How on earth am I going to get back to Grass Valley? Thank goodness Elder Buhler has a GPS, Yeah. We got back safely then later that night I nearly killed us both by not putting the truck fully in park and releasing the parking brake while I was not in the car. BUT that's another story for another time. In the end we are yet, still alive or I wouldn't be able to type this letter.

03/28/12 - We went out to visit a few people and introduce Elder Buhler. We had a little success. We were able to get a few return appointments, so it was a pretty good day.

03/29/12 - Thursday was our district meeting, so had that and invited one of the people we were teaching to a meeting. It went well.

03/30/12 – Poor, poor Elder Buhler, was sick all day. We couldn't do much. Thank goodness for Elder Gillen, though. We actually had a lesson that day so he came with me, in Buhler's stead.

 03/31/12 - General Conference

 04/01/12 - General Conference

That's it for Missionary Weekly, join us next time to see how they're doing.

Ok, I know that's not a lot, but hey it was a long week. Let’s head to Q&A Corner, shall we?

Q1.   What was your favorite talk in general conference?  Why did you like it?  How did it apply to you?
A1.   My favorite? It's Hard to say... I like them all. I guess I'll have to choose Dieter F. Uchtdorf's talk on "Stop it".

Q2.    What was your first impression of Elder Buhler?  What have you learned about him this week?  What do you have in common?  How is he different from you?  Tell us a little about him.
A2.     Hey, I thought he's pretty cool. Still think he's a good missionary and a very hard worker too.  He’s pretty chill too. He learned not to get sick and let Elder Morris Drive. He likes video games. His favorite game is Skyrim, a mid-evil type of game. He's 21 and I'm 19, but I've been out longer than him. Q3.   Did you catch up with the investigator that you found during exchanges?  Have you contacted the referral you got from the Elders in Yuba?
A3.  A few of them, we did contact the referral from Yuba. We had an appointment with him today, but he didn't show up, sadly.

Q4.   What was the best thing about this past week?  What challenges have you had this past week?  How did you over come that challenge?
A4.   General Conference was the best thing.  Driving was the biggest challenge.  Practice will help me overcome the challenge of driving.  The End.

Q5.   Who have you not heard from but wonder about?  What would you like to hear about or whom would you like to hear from?
A5.   Who? Let’s see I've only gotten a letter from you (Mom) this week so far. No other letters yet. Oh you know, the usual people, Grandma and Grandpa Smith, Grandma and Grandpa Morris, Crissy, Martin, Lydia, DAD, other relatives, and anyone from the ward please!!!!

Q6.   What is your ring size?  What is your favorite place to eat?  Where do you shop the most?  What can we send you that will be the most useful?
A6.   Why?  I think 11 or 11 and a half. Why? Out here Subway is good, so is Panda Express and all those other ones. Maybe you could get me my own GPS? If you can do that it would be helpful. Anything else you want to send would be good. Maybe even a keychain or two?

Okay... now for the other part of this Email. My typical day... I wake up at like 06:30 or 06:40, work out using the pull up bar a lot. I can now do 4 without stopping, HOORAH!!! Then at 7:30 we eat breakfast and shower. Study at around 8, then comp study at about 9ish. Then we go out around 10ish. We have lunch at either 12 or 12:30 or 1, then either we hang out with Grass Valley missionaries and wait for mail till 3 or we go out and tract and visit people till dinner around 6:00 or 6:30 or even 5:30. Then we head home and plan for the day. That's the average day for an ordinary missionary. You have other things that happen like service, getting lost and all that other fun stuff.
Wow, just looking at my previous e-mails. I've changed a lot. My E-mail now is a lot longer and more fun. That's just perfect.
Well that's it for this E-mail. I hear the band coming. Come and sing along.
Safety and peace, God bless and if you sneeze during this email bless your face, Auf Wiedersehen! Requesta de pache (rest in peace), Molto Bene, Alsons y, Arrivederci!, Tot ziens, smell ya later, Noice, Nofo a. Until next time this is Elder Morris in Nevada City singing out. Peace on!!!!
