Alma 53:20-21

Hello Family and Friends,                                          10/3/12

Hey, sorry this is two days late. I really need to do better about emailing. Let's just get to the point, “Missionary Weekly”.
 Missionary Weekly

Tuesday - Lesson with sister Franks. Went well. We watched the “Prophet of the Restoration” (the Hour one) with her. She really enjoyed it. Sadly though, Brian was not there, but that was ok.

Wednesday - We did service for an elderly lady in the Ward. We painted her fence, but didn't have time to finish it, so we're going to do that later today.

Thursday - We just chilled, just kidding not much happened. I lost my planner on P-day, so I don't have anything written down.

Friday - We helped clean a member’s home and it was horrid!!!! They will need some special professional cleaning people to fix it.

That's it for this “Missionary Weekly”.
 Now for Q & A Corner!!!!!

Q1.   How is the weather there?  Is it getting more like fall?  We are still in the 80s here but leaves are changing and flowers and vegetables are drying up and not producing anymore.  I think I am ready for a change in seasons.

A1.  It's warm in the 90"s. It’s a little bit more like fall, I can't really tell the change in seasons because of all the pine trees.

Q2.   Dad wants to know how you are doing with driving?  Do you feel better about it?  Do you miss the bike?  Probably not all the repairs for the bike, but do you miss riding the bike?

A2. I'm doing better I have to go on exchanges with the “Greenie” so I have to drive, but I feel more comfortable now. Yeah, other than the repairs, I miss the bike.

Q3.  A new couple moved into the Hansen's house on the corner.  The Fishbacks' had to move and the new couple (just married) are the Williams.  Sister William's parents are President and Sister Pendleton the previous President of your mission before President Weston.  Sister Williams said that California, Roseville mission is considered the “Cadillac” of Missions.  What do you think, is that what you would call it?  Do you think it is beautiful there?  Do you like the members there?

A3. It's good, but I wouldn't say it’s the “Cadillac of Missions”.  It’s definitely nice, more like a Ford Fusion. Yeah, I do like the members here.

Q4.   How are all your investigators doing?  Did any of them attend Church yesterday?  Tell us about them we would like to include them in our prayers.  What lesson or visit was your favorite this past week?

A4.  They're doing well. A few did come to Church. Pray for Bill and Bob, so they can come to church.  Pray for Sis Franks, so she can do well also. I think my favorite visit was the one with our new investigator, Kyle.  He is a twelve year-old boy and we just barely picked him up this past week. We're meeting with him Friday, so if you could also pray for him as well.

Q5.   Tell us more about Paradise?  What is your favorite thing about Paradise?  What is something exciting or unique about Paradise?  What's your favorite spot in Paradise?  Send pictures if you can.

A5. I wish I could tell you about Paradise, but it would take hours and I don't have the time. I will have to tell you next time.

Q6.   What scripture made the biggest impact on you this week?  What is something new or special you learned in your studies?  Is there a scripture or message you would like us to read this week in Family Home Evening?  We love you and want to include you in our Family Home Evenings.

A6. Alma 53:20-21 made a big impact on me this week.  This is how it reads.  Verse 20,  “And they were all young men, and they were exceedingly valiant for courage, and also for strength and activity; but behold, this was not all—they were men who were true at all times in whatsoever thing they were entrusted. Verse 21, “Yea, they were men of truth and soberness, for they had been taught to keep the commandments of God and to walk uprightly before him.”
Well that's it for this short email. I’ve got to go. Love ya.
