Pozdravljeni,
družino in prijatelji (Slovenian)
Hey-o,
hope yall had a great week. I had an Ok, greater than week. You know a greater
than, less than week, not the best, but better than just okay. Okay... well it was a greater than Okay
week. We did not meet the goals we
set, BUT we did a whole lot better. I guess the best way to share it is through
“Missionary Weekly”...zzZZzz....
Welcome
to “Missionary Weekly” where we travel with the Lord's Servants in search of
the one prepared. This week we see how the new missionaries are getting along
in their new areas and how morning tracting actually is effective? Join us today as we go with the Roseville 3rd ward
missionaries. (BYU Weekly Theme do do do do do do)
July 31, 2012 - Missionaries coming and going, it’s
a sad but a happy day. It’s sad because old friends go to their new areas and
happy because we meet with new missionaries. This day we mostly helped with the
missionaries who are staying and making sure that they have someone to be
with. Oh and I also went and
picked up the package that you sent that needed conformation. Thanks, for the
awesome shirt and the Heleman action figure. It’s awesome!!! I was at an LDS
store debating on getting one or not. Good thing I didn't. lol Thank you.
August 1, 2012 - Service today.
Today we had service for a less active
family. Well less-active, part member family. We helped paint the gutters and
the garage doorframe, green, which reminded me of our front door. When I say
OUR, I mean my house back home. It’s the same color, so talk about a trunky
moment. Lol After that Elder Leone had to go to the church for a baptismal
interview, so we went to the church and did that. Oh before you jump to conclusions the baptism isn't ours. I
wish. It’s first ward’s baptism. They also have 6 more coming up. So yeah, they're doing awesome.
August 2, 2012 - District Meeting!!! Hello, hello,
hello, hello, we welcome you to--- okay enough of that. Our district meeting
was about working with ward members and auxiliary leaders, which we need a lot
of help on. Lol Afterwards, we had
our weekly planning. Yeah, we did paperwork. After that we had an awesome
lesson with Andrew and Nikki.
Things have been getting better. Nikki is actually reading her
Scriptures, and before we left we were just talking about how the Lord has
helped and blessed us. Nikki
shared a story. One year around Christmas time she was out Christmas shopping
and she saw a homeless guy who was coming from the east coast. He was visiting his family and he
wanted to get some Christmas gifts for them, but he had no money. So out of the
compassion of Nikki's heart she took him shopping even though she herself, had
very little money. She used it all to help him. After they finish shopping they
started to walk home together, and the man said, "I see that you are
Mormon," She was surprised because she had nothing on her that indicated
that she is Mormon. They started
talking and he told her to look over her Patriartical Blessing and read over
it. Now, at this point she was a little shocked because how could he know about
that? They stopped and were about to part ways. From her own mouth she said
that the man took off his hood and he look exactly like Jesus. She can describe
it in detail. Before they parted ways he gave her a hug. She described it. She couldn't feel
him, but she could. I hope you guys can get this, but she could feel the warmth
he resonated. It felt good and she turned for a second because she had forgot
to give him the picture Book of Mormon he bought for his niece. When she turned to give it to him and
he was gone in an instant. Which reminded me of you Martin, with your Christmas
moment at Temple Square. Remember Martin what he said if your part of the
church, live like you are, or something like that. Just do what he said, I
guess. lol
August 3, 2012 - Man I hate when we have a full
day of lessons and they move them to another day or cancel. I hate that. Well, the day wasn't all
bad. We went tracting in the morning which wasn't that bad. We had a few
contacts. One guy, we knock on his door and the first thing that popped up by
the window was his dog. It was
like a husky only bigger. I mean if he stood on his hind legs he would probably
knock over Dad. He's about the size of Arthur, but a really nice dog. lol Sadly the guy wasn't interested, but
was impressed on the things we did. Maybe he’ll be interested some other time.
Speaking of dogs we had a lesson with Donald Kiner, the guy who asked for three
copies of the Book of Mormon. I don't know if I told you this, but he has two pit
bulls. Man they just love to play and jump all over us. It makes me almost want
to get a dog, but we'll see. We also had a lesson with Mara. Well, more like a
political discussion. We had great members there that really helped, Man I
don't know what we have to do to help Mara. She seems like she's at a standstill.
August 4, 2012 - Oh wait, actually we went to
visit Bro. Kiner this day, my bad.
And
that's it for “Missionary Weekly”. Join us next for more fun and excitement.
Okey-
Dokey, now for the fun part, Q & A CORNER!!!!!
Q1. How has the teaching been going? Any new
investigators? How are Logan, and the others you are teaching doing?
Any Baptism dates set?
A1. It's been pretty good.
No new investigators yet. All our investigators are well. Logan's been
out of town recently, but we'll be meeting with him this week most likely.
Q2. How is the weather been there? Is it any
cooler? It is certainly hot in the desert or Southern Utah. Have you
done a lot of tracting? Hope you are staying healthy and happy.
A2. It's been cooler. We had some overcast on Saturday, so it’s
been getting cooler. Actually yeah, we have been tracting and it seems mornings
are good because everyone is in a good mood.
Q3. What was the best thing that happened this week?
What was the worst thing about this last week? Anything new you
learned from scriptures or lessons? What was the most relaxing thing you
did this week? What is the plan for P-day today?
A3. The Best thing would be having the lesson with Andrew
and Nikki. Oh, I almost forgot they're thinking about moving out of their
crappy apartment to Antelope. If
they move they'll have to be taught by those missionaries. Sad day for us, I
guess that counts as the worst thing. I learned don't give in to temptation and
anyone can change, Alma 11-15. The most relaxing thing was just chilling at the
park when it gets to hot. Today we will write letters and play some b-ball, you
know that good stuff. lol...
Q4. How is Elder Leone doing? Is he getting anxious
to go home? What was something nice you did to serve him this last week?
Did he do something to serve you? What is your favorite thing about
Elder Leone?
A4. He's doing great no sign of much “Trunkyness” from
him. lol Let’s see, I said, “bless you” when he sneezes... I don't know if I
have served him. I've been busy, but I'll do better. Let’s see he shares the
desserts that we get and the leftovers. He's an awesome guy very humble and
willing to work. He plays piano
too. lol
Q5. What were the changes you were talking about in your
last letter? You said that you were both staying but some changes were
coming and you would tell us about them later. We are waiting to hear
about those changes. What is your plan to jump start the work in your
area?
A5. The Changes? Oh I just meant changes as in doing
better work. Every time I hit a
third transfer in an area I feel like its time to get out and work harder,
especially now since I've almost been out a year. Just go to work, as Elder Bott says, from the “District 2”.
Our plan is… "Well we are going to hit the pavement, we're going to find,
teach, and baptize!"
Q6. Martin wants to know if you are sending the sound
tract you bought at the yard sale? What was it? I am getting some
great music put together for you. How are you packing all this stuff when
you have to transfer?
A6. Soon, soon, I haven't been able to get it to the Post
Office. I'm also sending other stuff too and its up to Mom to divvy it up, so
there. Oh, the CD is of a movie/video game that Martin and I like, Final
Fantasy VII. There are you happy now? lol
I have a Tub or tote to move things around in. I still have all my Christmas stuff in it and other junk
too.
That's it For Q&A Corner and this email. Mom I was only
kidding about abusing Q&A Corner. lol
I still love you. Glad you all had fun at Monticello without me. I hope
Grandma gets better. Martin don't let Christian get to you. You know the truth about yourself and
so does your family, not just your earthly family, but your Heavenly Family as
well. Your Heavenly Father Knows you and so does your brothers, Jesus and me.
Don't forget if you want to get a hold of me fast email me, and write me, and
don't forget what the savior said:
"Love your
enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you,
and pray for
them which despitefully use you. And unto
him that smiteth thee
on the one cheek
offer also the other; and him that taketh away
thy cloke forbid not to take thy coat also. But love ye
your enemies, and do good, and lend,
hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall
be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest."
- Luke 6:27-29, 35. Just know that you still have good friends that you can
rely on.
And
I can't believe Crissy beat you at Halo ha ha ha, Love ya man!!!
